




Its Sunday day 1 of the fitness retreat...we are staying at the beautiful dolphin bay in shell beach, ca. www.dolphinbay.com.
we were up bright and early at 6am to get ready for our 7am hike. Jackies protein shake was delivered right to the door for us. The hike lasted about 2 hours we mixed in a little bit of a bootcamp workout along the hike.. most of the participants are from the east coast and don't hike on a regular basis...or do bootcamp for that matter. The ladies found the hike/workout to be very intense and hard.
The meals are prepared as follows: morning shake, protein bar for snack 180cal, lunch, salad and a choice of fish, tofu, steak, ahi for the protein, snack is a protein bar 180cal, and dinner is once again a grain and choice of protein for a total daily calorie count of 1500. The participants are not fed any sugar or wheat, the carbohydrates come from the fruit in the morning shake, the protein bar and the grains served at dinner. I am following the diet plan as well and holy moly its going to be hard:)
the second 2 hour workout in the afternoon was led by Jackie from 2-3 on the lawn and then I boot camped the group from 3-4 on the beach...most of the ladies body's were in shock and had a hard time getting thru the workouts but they all made it!!!
on my down time I went for a 5 mile jog in the afternoon and did a two hour cardio/weight circuit training in the gym. (leg day for me)
